Childhood
is something that I would always cherish, whether it’s a bad picture or a good
picture doesn’t really matter. Childhood is something that is once lost never
found again. So well I did enjoy my childhood to the fullest from wearing new
clothes, wearing mum’s sandals, applying excessive powder, messed ponytail,
crying and shouting to fulfil all my demands, fighting with friends saying my
Daddy is the best, refusing to eat all the time, jumping into puddles gave me
immense joy. This picture was taken when I was a little older, nutured and
cared for. Here I was made the flowergirl for
a wedding when I was warned by my parents not to play truant during mass
but a child is a child and I was a naughty one. So when I got a chance I ran
all over the place this was when the picture was clicked. I was given my
freedom when we were back home after the wedding when all the attention was
drawn towards me. This picture gives me immense joy as it a flashback to those
moments of an innocent and carefree child.

Such a self-assured, confident pose framed appropriately against greenery! But also so self-conscious. Is that a self-portrait? Take a look at the work of Walker Evans to see portraiture at its finest. I loved your childhood photo and noticed how the adults around simply stood around allowing you to hold stage ;)
