Amanda Mendes

For me this was one day I got to dress up like a bride all white with my wail and gloves. This picture was taken on the 9th of December it was the day I received my first holy communion I was 8 years old . I remember dressing up two hours in advance because there had to be a whole photo session that had to be taken .this picture always brings back a lot of memories for me .I remember walking with this dress through the aisle in the church the spot light for once was only on me. Thereafter a party held specially for me. This is also a special day in a catholic girls life because she receives Jesus in her. It was also they day that my grandfather gave me his blessings for the last time because he passed away after two days, so this picture is very dear to me.

A dream that came threw after 5 years. I finally did graduate from the college of my dreams. When I was in college I clicked a lot of pictures but this one will always be the best one for me because I can say I am I XAVERITE. This picture was my convocation which was held on the 23rd . a very proud day for my I graduated with a ba in sociology. The black robe the cap on my head something I was always looking forward to wear n finally that day had come. What made it even more special was when my name was called and I got my certificate for Mr Adi Godrej who was the guest of honor. It was one memorable day. When I look back at this picture all I can see are the memories in that beautiful campus.

This man is the reason behind me wanting a career in the media. This is a picture of my dad. He works in an advertising agency and is a media planner there and that is what I want to do too after 10 years. He has been in the industry since a very long time. I have seen him succeed fail have a lot of ups and downs, however he has always been there for his family no matter. I have seen him working till 4 in the morning and getting up for me at 7 to drop me to the station. After 10 years I see myself being success work wise as well as running my family just the way my father does.

Amanda:
was that a self-portrait? And you have described what we are seeing in the photograph a lot more than why you have chosen this photograph and all that it means to you. What does it mean to be a Xavierite? How would you "show" that in a photograph?

Shagun, Tejasvi, Tanmayi: Can we go beyond the "cute" and "lovely"? How does this set of photographs compare with the rest of the class?
