Aniketh Mendonca

I was:
This picture was clicked on 10th November 1992, three months after my birthday. (Yes, my birthday was yesterday.) I have no idea why was this picture clicked or what is going on, but there is a sense of comfort when I also look at this picture. The outstanding thing about this picture is that it makes me look clueless and when I look at it, i wonder where has all that cuteness disappeared? It has been just under twenty one years since This picture is a bench mark of how far I have come in life, The heights I have touched & the width i have spread in.I have a lot of photos, but this is the only one which I look at and wonder ' Who the hell is he & where the hell has he disappeared.' Lastly and most importantly, I can just stare at this picture for at times and still not know what i am looking for.

I am:
This picture was clicked on 23rd April, 2014 at a place called Posheri which is over 100 kms from Mumbai. This picture was clicked by my oldest friend and still closest. At this point of time three things were happening : I was in the midst of nature, there was lovely soft country love songs being played on the speakers and there was a cold beer with me. The combination of this was a very heartfelt experience.
When I look at this picture, memories of this place with some of my best friends pops up in my mind. This place holds a special place in my life as it is a getaway destination which is so close yet so far. I will be doing this activity soon, and anyone interested can surely join me.

 I want To be:
There is only one person i want to be like 10 years later, he is Steven George Gerrard. This picture was clicked on 28th January, 2014 at Anfield when Liverpool took on arch-rivals Everton and Gerrard scored. He is the talismanic leader of Liverpool who has captained his boyhood club since 2003 and is living his dream. He has been with Liverpool FC for almost 25 years now, but still the passion, enthusiasm and love for the club he shows is unmatched by any one. The chances that I will be like him is one in a million, but i can always try to work towards being like him. Some say he was born with the talent, I think otherwise, he has paid for this greatness with shot after shot, night after night. A few people are destined to be a leader, a very few are leaders of men, he is the latter. He is 34, and he is physically & mentally fit. Not only is he a model footballer, but he is also a good husband and a great family man. I have decided that my son will be names 'Steven' after him. (Before you pounce on me saying I am gender biased, I have thought a name for my daughter as well. She will be named 'Delfina'). If I am able to produce a fraction of the energy, the love of one's work and the passion he has in his eyes I will be content.

Aniketh:
I like your sense of determination and the way you have expressed it comes through clearly in your choice of photograph of Gerrard. But that self-portrait is only illustrative of an action. I don't get a sense of the place as your favourite "getaway destination".
