Independence in my view reflects happiness of an individual. If a person is happy and content from within, one feels free and liberated. However life is not a cakewalk for anybody. Everybody has to go through some complications in life. But one must learn to overcome it irrespective of how difficult it is. Once the hurdles are crossed, one feels happy and satisfied. When you find happiness in whatever little or more you have, you find peace. This is what independence means for me.
For all the citizens out there, life may have been tough for you. You have suffered and been through a lot of hardships and tragedies during the struggle for independence. We may not be able to understand your loss right now. But we all pray for you and your nation’s freedom. You must not lose hope and have faith in God as the sun will shine brighter one day and things will change!

In the picture I must be about a year old. I chose this particular picture because of three main reasons. Firstly, I am in the arms of my mother. Though she is not entirely seen but I can recognize her. Secondly, it is one of my mother’s favorite pictures. Thirdly, the picture depicts many characteristics of a child. My eyes are wide open probably because I saw something and have no idea about what it is. According to me I look very curious and innocent at the same time.  Also I don’t look cranky or irritated. Also I look extremely clueless like all children of this age are.

I clicked this picture a week back before going for an outing with my friends. I chose this picture because I like the effect of the light above my hair. Also I like the color contrast such as the bright pink nails with all dark colors. This one is taken from the normal camera in front of the mirror. It is different from a selfie in many ways. Firstly, every time I click a front camera selfie, it is always a close shot. However in this picture it clearly shows a mid shot. Secondly like all close shots, a selfie shows all minute details of my face and no background is visible. This picture has a background. Also one doesn’t get to know the shape or the size of an individual in a selfie unless taken from a top angle view.

I see myself like my mother after 10 years. She is a homemaker which itself is a very tedious task. Moreover, she is a businesswoman and is into free-lancing of jewelry.  Also she is a very active member of many social organizations, events and activities. Following her dream profession and fulfilling responsibilities towards the society as well as her home at the same time is quite a big deal for me. I see myself like my mother after 10 years probably because I too will be working somewhere. I want to be a strong, independent and proficient just like my mother. Moreover I too will have a family to look after.
I chose this picture because my mother looks like me in many ways. She is looking very simple and sober in the picture, which she actually is. So it has no essence of pretense.  Also I like this picture because it was clicked by me months back when she was scolding my elder brother in a very funny manner. So I have a memory with this picture that I always cherish. Also I like the way she is sitting. It indicates that she has a strong personality. Her facial expressions are also intense and show anger or agitation. Since the picture is so natural and ordinary, I really adore the picture.
